Charity Bazaar Proposal

CHARITY BAZAAR – REACH OUT & MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
*A BAZAAR HELD BY THE CHARITY WING OF THE HELP UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LAW SOCIETY


OBJECTIVES:

1. to raise funds for an orphanage home (that we are about to adopt)
2. to inculcate the value of giving and sharing amongst members of the Charity
Wing(1st focus group) & members of the Law Society at large.
3. to expose members to a minor business event
4. to bond the Charity Wing members with a common cause – since the Charity Bazaar is the 1st event on the calendar.


DETAILS:

Venue: Wisma HELP, Ground Floor
Time: 10am – 2pm from the 9th Oct to the 13th Oct 2006
Customers: Everyone!


WHAT IS THERE TO BUY?

1. 2nd hand books & magazines
-to be collected from various students of every department.
-3 boxes for collection would be placed at DSA level 5
-books & magazines would be then assessed for pricing and sold at the bazaar

2. Cakes & Muffins
- cakes & muffins would be donated by volunteers (students & sponsors)
- cakes & muffins would be packed n sold at suitable prices

3. Dedication of Flowers & Chocolates
- fresh flowers are to be donated everyday and then sold as dedications with a message(tentative)
- various types of chocolates to be bought at cost price and sold as dedications with special wrappings

4. Fresh Fruits!
-fresh fruits would be donated by volunteers
-fruits would be later on sold from an icebox placed at the stalls
-fruits would be packed in small plastic bags

5. Finger food
-to be donated by volunteers
-will be packed and sold at the bazaar

Captain: Ms. Quah Su Enn

6. Handicraft items from the Kajang Prison (to be prebooked)
-Albert and team would be heading to the prison to collect samples of items to be sold
-samples would be displayed at the stalls with an order form
-items would then be delivered in a weeks time

MAN-HANDLING OF THE STALLS:

-music would be played to attract people
-4 tables would be arranged with table cloth
-decoration
-banner
-duty roster
-collection of funds at the end of the day

BUDGET (tentative) :

Initial cost: RM200 (plastic bags, chocolate wrapper, decorative paper, fruit sticks)

Expected Profit: RM750 (excluding profit from the handicraft items)

~~personal announcements by members would be made to each class to promote the bazaar
